This was a full Mitsubishi mini split installation at a commercial building in Mountain View. Multiple Smart Multi outdoor units mounted on the rooftop, paired with ceiling cassette units inside. The goal - clean, efficient comfort without the bulk of traditional wall-mounted equipment.
Ceiling cassettes are a great choice when you want the system to blend into the space. They sit flush in the ceiling and distribute air in all four directions, which means even coverage across the room. No bulky wall units. No ductwork tearing through the ceiling. Just quiet, consistent airflow where you actually need it.
The outdoor units are Mitsubishi's Smart Multi series - built for multi-zone setups where you need each area of a building to be controlled independently. Sizing these systems correctly is where a lot of installs go wrong. Too small and the system runs constantly trying to keep up. Too large and you get short cycling, humidity issues, and uneven temps. We size every job based on the actual load of the space, not guesswork.
Proper mounting on a flat roof matters more than most people realize. The units need to be level, secured correctly, and positioned with enough clearance for airflow and future service access. Cut corners on the install side and you'll pay for it in performance and early repairs down the road.
When a system is designed and installed right from the start, you feel it every single day. That's what we're after on every job - whether it's a single-zone setup or a full commercial system like this one.
